First concert: N’Sync (don’t laugh). Memorable dance performance: 4 years old, wearing a sparkly gold uniform, pom-poms and red lipstick, dancing to “Hey Mickey.” It was amazing. Personal motto: “Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” -Confucius I’m on the dance floor if I hear: Angel on My Shoulder by Kaskade
Luisa B. - Instructor since 2015
First dance performance: 3 years old! Best use of your Avant-Barre muscles: dragging my luggage through the streets in Santorini. Why San Francisco rules: Warriors. ‘nuf said.

Greatest love(s): burritos and AB. My fiance ranks in there somewhere too. Walk, ride or drive? After 20 years in LA, I’m in SF for the walking. Uphill does a booty good. I’m dancing if I hear: Aaliyah’s “If Your Girl Only Knew” (Finnebassin remix). Personal mission statement: Success is focusing your life to make other lives better. When students meet milestones, gain confidence or find a reason to laugh during class it’s a win for me too.
Tiffany V. - Instructor since 2014
Favorite dance move: I’ve studied ballet, jazz, lyrical and tap, but my favorite move is the running man. You can do it anywhere! Most interesting place you’ve been: Amman, Jordan to study Public Health. That’s my jam: Crazy In Love by Beyonce ft. Jay-Z. Thing that makes you an awesome teacher: Trying to feel the strength, pain and transformation that my students are experiencing in class
Cat A. - Master Instructor
Morning routine: First thing, I drink a glass of hot water and write in my gratitude journal. Gotta do it before anything else. Three words that best describe you: Reflective, bold, enthusiastic. Favorite dance move: Body rolling! Must-move dance song: R. Kelly’s Ignition (remix) or most hyphy rap (think Too Short and E-40).
Lex M. - Master Instructor and Trainer
First dance performance: Swan Lake, age 4. Moment of fame: I am the 1997 National Aerobic Championship bronze medalist. It was broadcast on ESPN! Teaching inspiration: I love movement, and I love music, and I super love moving to music. And I extra super love when a whole roomful of people is moving to music together.
Mercy C. - Instructor since 2014
You might not know: I have a degree in nursing and public health, and spend my “day job” as a pediatric ICU nurse. Words to live by: Happiness is always a choice and never a condition. A body in motion: When I’m not at the studio, you can find me snowboarding, biking, slacklining, doing yoga or snuggling with my dog.
Mona M. - Instructor since 2016
Three words to describe me: Happy, active, kind. I’m proud of the fact that: I built a 10-year professional dance career from scratch. That’s my jam: Deep down I'm still a big bun head so I would say anything Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky would turn me into twinkle toes. The best thing about SF is: It’s home!
